New SmartUse App Installation for Windows Required

As of September 1, 2022, everyone using the SmartUse App for Windows will need to have the MSI version installed. The old version of the app will continue to launch, but will no longer receive updates.
What You Need to Do
If you see the banner below while using the SmartUse App, it means you need to uninstall the SmartUse App you're currently using, then reinstall the MSI version.*
Once completed, you’ll be up to date and good to go.
The process is quick and simple, just follow the instructions below.
*Don't worry, this will not impact your offline documents. They will still be on your device and available without an internet connection.
Uninstall SmartUse
- Right click on the Windows Start icon.
- Click Settings.
- Click Apps.
- Locate SmartUse on the list of Apps & features.
- Click the SmartUse icon.
- Click Uninstall.
Reinstall SmartUse
Click the Download button below and follow any prompts.
You may need to go to your Downloads folder and open the SmartUse file to complete installation.
Added Bonus
After re-installing the app, SmartUse administrators running 64-bit operating systems will be able to connect to the web portal right from the app by clicking the icon in the top toolbar.
